This book discuss the efficacy of three different re-mineralising agents on white spot lesions during fixed orthodontics treatment as evaluated using Digital and Visual examination methods. They are highly prevalent in patients under fixed orthodontic treatment, which enhance plaque retention, results in rapid shift of oral microbial flora to a pathogenic flora. Various agents are used to treat WSLs like Resin infiltration and topical application of re-mineralising agents. Many study used resin infiltration as a restorative treatment for WSLs nearly 40 years ago. Recent advances in re-mineralising for the WSLs include the use of various agents line CPP-ACP, Clinpro 5000 (3M ESPE), Clinpro tooth creme, GC Tooth Mousse (Recaldent), Toothmin cream (Biodental Remin), MI Varnish (GCAmerican, Alsip, III, USA), MI Paste Plus (GC American, Alsip, III, USA), Cerevitec Plus varnish and Enamel Pro were used. This book tells about the efficacy of different re-mineralising agents on the white spot lesion. Ideas for controlling the white spot lesions are suggested.
