Efficiency of US military intervention in the Middle East using DEA

Subject of the analysis of this book is the specificity of the US national security policy through the prism of the implementation of military interventions in the Middle East region and their characteristics. The Middle East is a region that is constantly facing violent conflicts, ethnic and religious conflicts. The book analyzes US military interventions in the Middle East, the decision-making process, and the possible implications of regional peace and security. From the methodological point of view, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), a software solution, was used and compared to the Global Peace Index, which included countries that had military interventions in the period from 2001 to the end of 2015. Study analyzes the US military efficiency in Middle East.

Oliver Stojanoski schloss seine Doktorarbeit "Nationale US-Sicherheitspolitik und die Merkmale militärischer Interventionen in der Region des Nahen Ostens nach 9/11" 2017 erfolgreich ab. Mit Hilfe der Datenentwicklungsanalyse, einer nicht-parametrischen Methode, hat er erfolgreich die Nicht-/Effizienz von Militärinterventionen im Nahen Osten gemessen.
