Efficient Visualization& Processing of MRI Diffusion Tractography Data

Diffusion Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging in combination with tractography provides a powerful tool to study the anatomical connections of the human brain. Processing of this complex and large data can be a difficult task, especially when radiologists, neuro surgeions and domain experts want to interact with them. In this book I explore the challenges that computer scientists have to face when developing methods for visualizing fibertracts and interacting with them.

Ignaz Reicht was born in Reith bei Kitzbühel, Austria and finished his Masters degree in Medical Informatics at Technical University, Vienna. For his master thesis he joined the Div. Medical and Biological Informatics at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Heidelberg. Currently he is doing his PhD in the field of forensic radiology.
