Electric Forklift Truck

This book has proved that the design of the electric system can be undertaken by Electrofit Zapi and will enable Electrofit Zapi to do similar projects in the future, offering full electrification packages. 3D drawing packages are an important tool to be used with projects such as these, allowing ideas to be conveyed easily. This project also shows that mistakes can happen with workmanship, no matter how much care is taken on the design. Heat dissipation has proved to play an important role, it was found to be an issue with the pump controller, without a heat sink the heat would rise too quickly. Technical documentation on the wiring diagram is displayed in this book, in-cooperating the operator controls with the electrical system. Other technical documentation includes working drawing for the traction panel base plate. The method in which these controllers control their motor (Field Orientated Control) is studied, explaining how its process is similar to a separately exited motor, controlling two aspects of the motor.

Je suis actuellement en dernière année de BENG en génie électrique à l'université de Glyndwr. J'ai précédemment étudié un diplôme FND à l'Université de Staffordshire, participant à l'exposition de fin d'année des diplômés GradEX. J'ai entrepris ce projet alors que je travaillais chez Electrofit Zapi en 2014/2015. Je travaille actuellement chez Invertek Drives en tant qu'ingénieur en réparation.
