In electric train operation the main problem is the wastage of energy. Almost all of today's companies concern about reduction of energy consumption and the problem of reducing energy consumption in railway systems has received lot of attention in recent years because of its known impact on economy and environment. Ethiopia has currently high shortage of electric power. There is high demand of power in this country for different services such as residential consumption, industrial, commercial and train operation. Train operations are high users of electricity resource with the increasing use of electric trains. There are different beneficiaries of this book. The first benefited organization is the research case study of Ethiopia Railway Corporation and the country Ethiopia. Based on this book study, this organization can be benefited by saving power and reducing electric cost. As the all the country Ethiopia becomes advantageous to save power for other purpose services. Secondly this book is used for different research and academic institute reference.
