How transferable is public administration curriculum of a country with advanced democratic development to a country which gradually slips into authoritarianism? This book compares the United States and Tajikistan along several dimensions with the purpose of improving the quality of public service in Tajikistan through education. The author explores the applicability of some of the major principles of American public administration to Tajikistan and provides suggestions for curriculum developers on what can be considered in curriculum development process.
