Metal casting is having tremendous scope in the fabrication of modern farm machinaries and Implements, Defense, manufacturing sectors etc, due to its specific characteristics. There is a continuous refinement in the foundry engineering, as newer technologies are introducing day by day with better advances in technology and its applications. It helps to enhance the quality and mechanical properties of the casting products in manufacturing sectors. Dr. Kishor Purushottamrao Kolhe, is presently working as a Professor of Production Engineering at JSPM, Imperial College of Engineering & Research Pune, India. Recently he is nominated as a Indira Priyadarshini Gold Medal Award 2017 for the best work in his field from Global Economic Progress and Research Association, New Delhi, India.
