In the present era due to sedentary life style, dreadful environment, and unbalanced diet, stressful mental conditions, man has become the victim of fatal diseases, causing a lot of complications which are difficult to reverse. The Meda Dhatu Vikara or hyperlipidemia is a condition caused by derangement of Agni, leads to various diseases. Despite tremendous research and discovery of some useful remedies in the modern medical science, many queries about these complications remain unanswered. More over treatment is costly and with adverse effects. The long term dangers of hyperlipidemia are like a sword hanging over one's head tied in a weak thread which can strike at any time and create numerous difficulties and boundless miseries. Now a day's global interest is developing towards alternative medicine, especially Ayurveda to face this challenge as it protects against such frustation. Ayurveda can offer a lot, since it is herbomineral and with less complications. This study is made to establish a bridge between Meda Dhatu & Lipids to understand & concur further complications.
