Emerging Issues In Climate Change: Indian and American Perspectives
Details
The 21st Conference of Parties (COP) will be held in November, 2015 in Paris to give political momentum to crucial climate change negotiations. It is in this light that the book tries to highlight on global climate change conventions that have been negotiated in the Rio Summit in 1992 and subsequently in the Kyoto Protocol. The book presents the perspectives of both the developing countries led by India, and the developed countries led by the United States. Wide gaps exist between both groups as far as reduction of greenhouse gases are concerned and deadlines for meeting this. Therefore, this book is an eye-opener as far as global climate change negotiations are concerned. This book will be of interest to social scientists, environmentalists, NGOs and researchers on climate change and environment.
