Emigration of African Professionals

This book is about the continuous loss of large numbers of African professionals through the brain drain. It is mainly based on the findings of a descriptive study designed to examine the causes and effects of the brain drain, and to find viable ways and means of addressing the cancerous problem. It is intended for policy makers in national and municipal governments, decision makers in business institutions, researchers, trade union leaders, and casual readers who may have an interest in gaining an understanding of some of the salient issues relating to the emigration of Africa s indigenous professionals.

The author is an Independent Business and Management Researcher and Consultant temporarily based in Denver, USA. He has taught at several institutions, including the Copperbelt University in Zambia, and at Regis University in Denver, where he has been a member of the MBA Affiliate Faculty in the College for Professional Studies.
