Emma Marrone (born 25 May 1984 in Florence, Italy) is an Italian singer. Born in Florence, Marrone has always lived in Aradeo in the province of Lecce. She acquired her passion for music from her father Rosario, guitarist of a band from Aradeo called "Karadreon" which formed when Marrone was quite young (10 11 years old), performing in festivals and in clubs. She graduated from Classical High School. She started her professional musical career in 2003, when she took part in the second Italian edition of Popstars (renamed Superstar Tour); Emma won the talent and with Laura Pisu and Colomba Pane she formed the Lucky Star.
