Employment Generation and PMRY scheme

This book work is an outcome of a research study conducted on Evaluation of Prime Minister s Rozgar Yojana Scheme in promoting entrepreneurship in Tamilnadu, India. The District Industries Centres role in promoting entrepreneurship at the grass root level through Prime Ministers Rozgar Yojana Scheme carried out by the direction of Government of India to provide solution to unemployment problem. The beneficiaries could obtain financial assistance for setting up of micro enterprises apart from the need based training programme. It is a tool for development and the beneficiaries have been empowered in the areas of socio economic and cultural aspects and it is an essential component in human resource development for strengthening entrepreneurial motive and in acquiring more technical skills and enhance capabilities necessary for playing entrepreneurial role more effectively. Contributions of Commercial Banks in Promoting PMRY Scheme, Various Self-employment schemes - IRDP, TRYSEM, JRY, EAS, SUME, and SEEUY, Perceptions of EDP beneficiaries Under PMRY Scheme are analyzed and evaluated in depth. Recommendations are also forwarded to enrich the effective implementation of PMRY scheme.
