Empowerment of Women Through Self Help Groups: Karnataka Experience

Self-help Groups (SHGs) have emerged as an effective instrument to promote entrepreneurship and self-confidence among women, particularly in rural areas and empowerment has become an important paradigm of women s developmental efforts of the state and the civil societies since two decades. Against this background the book is an in-depth study of Empowerment of Women through Self Help Groups. It contains the problems of Self Help Groups Members and draw correct policy suggestions for sustaining the reduction in poverty through empowerment.
