Latest scientific news 2012: American researchers have highlighted that the endangered animals in Brazil can and will be cloned in order to avoid extinction. More importantly, the scientific experts at the Brazilian agricultural research agency Embrapa, who cloned a cow in 2001, are now turning their attention to the country's threatened wildlife. The Brazilian scientific specialists have as aim to clone mainly 8 wild species - the collared anteater, the bush dog, the black lion tamarin, the coati, deer and bison varieties, the leopard and the maned wolf. In fact, reports have shown that the researchers along with the help of the Brasilia Zoological Garden, have already collected tissue samples from these eight endangered species with a view to possible cloning. Basically, the goal of these scientists is to supplement zoo stocks.
