ENERGY CONSUMPTION IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS IN CAMEROON:

What is a public good? In Economics, a public good refers to a commodity or service that is made available to all members of a society. Typically, services are administered by governments and paid for collectively through Taxation. What is it all about?. It is the symbolic politics (paradigm) of the new next millennium. A substantive philosophical or scientific debate is currently on going to prepare the future. The energy debate is really about the nature of energy as a good. Is energy a private good? A public good? Or a marketable public good?In this book, we strive to scrutinize energy consumption in public buildings in Cameroon. We used a multi-actor approach to identify new practices in the sustainability of public expenses. The future of this public good lies inadopting new and sustainable mechanisms. Energy efficiency is debatable nowadays worldwide. The fundamental question is who should drive the transition to renewable energy economy.
