Enforcement of Industrial Safety Laws in Ghana: The Case of PFC, Tema

This book examines the type of employee safety legislation and facilities in industry, the levels of awareness of, compliance with and the enforcement and inspection of safety regulations in the reduction of workplace injuries in Ghana. The book focuses on the role of the employees, management and the Inspectorate directorate in accident reduction. The book provides a working document for industry actors and regulatory agencies in reducing workplace accidents and injuries.

Samson Obed Appiah holds a BA (Hons) and M.Phil degrees in Sociology from the University of Ghana. He is a lecturer in the Sociology Department of the University of Ghana where he teaches courses in Industrial Sociology and Introduction to Sociology courses at all levels.
