English Oral Communication for Midwifery Students

Learning English can be put into two categories: general English and ESP ( English for Specific Purpose). Both have different goals. The last is to fulfill the needs of occupation such nurse, midwife, doctor, engineer, etc. By mastering well ESP, one will not get problem in handling the daily work. This book entitled English Oral Communication For Midwifery Students is designed to help midwife graduates who latter will work in a hospital. The English contents of this book have been matched with the real knowledge of midwife and every unit is put in chronological order. This book can be used by teacher guidance or independently. The approach applied in using this book is CLIL ( Content and Language Integrated Learning). It means learning language with specific content. In this respect, the content is midwifery. In short this book is worth having.

The author owns a PhD in English Language Teaching. He graduated from State University of Malang, East Java, Indonesia. He is also the Vice Director of College of Foreign Languages Indonesia. His doctoral studies were in Applied Linguistic and English For Specific Purpose. He has published some international and national journals.
