This book will be help to improve small ruminant productivity in general and sheep production in particular in small and large scale farms. It explains about the supplementation of Afar rams fed teff straw basal feed with graded levels of mixtures of protein (noug cake and sesame cake) and energy (wheat bran) sources, It include the chemical composition of the different feed ingredients and their effects on feed intake, digestibility, live weight and carcass parameters. It also provided additional information about the Ethiopian small ruminant production system and other research results which help as literature to university lecturers and students, researchers and other people who are interested to work in agriculture sector.
Autorentext
The author was born in Bizet town, Tigray in 1978 G.C. After completion of his high school education, he joined Mekelle University in September, 1999 G.C and graduated in Animal and Range Sciences. He has then pursued his MSc degree from Haramaya University. He is currently working as livestock researcher at Tigray Agricultural Research Institute
