The population of the study consisted of the employees of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. Stratified random sampling technique was adopted, with the cadre of employees constituting the basis of stratification. Content validity(face validity)approach was used. Research findings indicated that Training helps to enhance: recognition of Occupational hazards in the workplace; evaluation and control of occupational hazards in the workplace; as well as implementation of safety programmes in the workplace.
