Entanglement Entropies in One-Dimensional Systems
Details
Quantum phase transition are phase transitions occurring at zero absolute temperature: classical fluctuations are completely suppressed, and quantum effects become macroscopic. Their detection and the exploration of their properties are among the main objectives of quantum many-body theory. In this book, we explore how quantum-information concepts, namely entaglement entropies, can help in such a mission, and provide quantitative information about the physics of closed one-dimensional lattice systems.
Autorentext
Luca Taddia (born 1985) is a Condensed-Matter theoretical physicist. He obtained is PhD, in 2013, at University of Bologna (Italy), where he is currently working as a postdoc. His current scientific interests involve low-dimensional quantum many-body systems, and in particular quantum phase transitions, entanglement and dynamics.
