Entrepreneurship for Rural Economic Development in the Third World

Entrepreneurship development is fundamental to seeking a sustainable solution to the unemployment and poverty problems ravaging the Third World. Therefore, making entrepreneurship development a central issue where rural poverty reduction is concern is strategic to Third World countries. However, there are some inherent issues that have to be addressed if such poverty eradication or reduction policy implementation is to have any significant impact. This book addresses the various steps that the governments of Third World countries can take to effectively turn the rural areas into spring board for national economic development. The book highlights the importance of entrepreneurship in wealth creation by making job opportunities available in the rural areas. It also outlines the various economic activities that can be developed into small scale business enterprises in many rural areas of Third World countries. How to sustain rural economic development of the Third World is one of the major areas of focus of the book. And recommendations are advanced to that effect in the book. Particularly, the need to understand the peculiar nature of rural poverty.
