The main purpose of this study was to analysis of student's awareness on environmental issues and problems and their behavior towards the environment in different public and private universities of Bangladesh. To make a conclusion of this purpose, a questionnaire of variables were designed and tested on a sample of 400 students from two categories like environmental background and non environmental background students studying in public universities (Dhaka Universities and Jahangirnagar University) and private universities (Stamford University Bangladesh and State University of Bangladesh). According to the student, global warming (86.5%) and depletion of natural resources (71.2%) were two most important environmental problems in the world. But in case of Bangladesh, arsenic contamination in ground water (93.2%) and depletion of natural resources (71.2%) have found as major environmental problems. From the survey it has been concluded that students mostly agreed on the education of people (98%) as a most convenient solution for mitigating the problems. Again it has been revealed that printing and electric media (78.8%) are most helpful means to bring awareness among people.
