Environmental Education

Environmental Protection is concerned with the protection of the natural world of land, sea, air, plants and animals. There is a shared feeling that the environment is in a critical state and unified efforts focused on its protection are necessary. Knowledge about the environment is key to its protection and improvement. This knowledge is useful only when individuals comprehend problems associated with the environment and humanity s responsibility towards improving it. Environmental Protection should be oriented towards improvement of ecological situations. Emphasis on Environmental Education should be the main focus of teachers, administrators, and leaders. The main purpose of this study is to help students and community develop the ability and attitude to address the issue. The study focuses on students knowledge of the environment and their attitude towards its protection. The author has constructed and standardized two scales for carrying out the investigation. A conclusion has been made based on the investigation and analysis. There is still much that can be done to improve environmental conditions,as related problems are increasing in number, extent, frequency and intensity.
