Environmental Education

The purpose of this book is to generate in people the knowledge, values, attitudes and practices necessary to make informed decisions and act responsibly towards the environment. Its objective is to form citizens who are aware of and committed to sustainability, who can prevent and solve environmental problems, thus ensuring the right to a healthy environment and ecological balance for present and future generations. What does environmental education entail? Awareness and knowledge: Increases understanding of the complexity of environmental problems and their causes. Development of values and attitudes: It fosters a sense of responsibility, respect for nature and a culture of conservation.

Sou engenheiro industrial com um mestrado em educação ambiental e já participei em projectos de educação ambiental na minha cidade. Atualmente, trabalho como professor universitário e do ensino secundário. As minhas matérias ensinadas estão relacionadas com a energia nos processos da vida quotidiana, bem como com a ciência e a engenharia aplicadas à estatística.
