In developing countries, governments, companies and individuals tend to wait for environmental problems to occur before solutions are sort. This book presents major scientific approaches, theories, principles and concepts for the development of an opportunity and problem in context framwork for environmental management in developing countries. Major tools and approaches that can be used in environmental problem analysis and explanaton and also discover and realise opportunties for environmental management are also identified. Based on experience and theory, the author the presents a practical framework that will guide the design of solutions to environmental problems taking into acccount options identified through problem-based and opportunity-based approaches to jointly serve comprehensive objectives such as sustianability and effeciency.
