ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY IN COLOMBIAN LAW

From the constitutional norms of the Political Charter related to the environment, it is inferred that the environmental policy in Colombia is based on the guidelines outlined by the Catholic Social Doctrine; thus, the dogmatic part (arts. 8; 49: 58 inc. 3°; 63; 67, inc. 2°, 79 80; 81; 82; 88) as well as the organic part (arts. 215; 226; 277, num. 4°; 282, num. 5°; 289; 300, num. 2; 310, inc. 2°; 313, num. 9; 317, inc. 2°; 330, num. 5°; 331; 332; 339, sub. 1°; 340, sub. 1°; 366), which have as their object the protection of the environment, allow us to interpret that they are based on the guidelines taught by the DSI, that is, that the earth has its own physiognomy and a previous destiny, given by God, and out of gratitude and recognition we owe respect to the other creatures and the character of the environment as a collective good destined for all, including future generations.
