Man like any other living being has specific biological needs.Rapid development in Science and Technology and its power to transform the environment to suit present needs has become the concern of the scientists. The environment is a total entity and is comprised of whole physical, chemical and biological systems in which all organism including man live, flourish and die. Environmental factors greatly influence the day-to-day business plans, trade and commercial policies. A healthy social system requires balanced ecological environment. Natural resources should be judiciously and economically used so that they can be preserved for a long time. The study of environment and the study of environmental law needs a multi-dimensional approach. Environmental law study requires full awareness of social, political, economical, ecological aspects of different dimensions. There is a need to realize that the most useful one in arriving any ecologically acceptable dimensions. However, there are adequate legal provisions to control environmental degradation. This books gives full information regarding environmental protection and the law in India.
