III. AIM OF THE WORK 3.1. General objective: Assessment of environmental sanitation and development of an integrated plan for HCW management at the main hospitals in White Nile State, Sudan. 3.2. Specific objectives: 3.2.1. To assess the available environmental sanitation facilities and operations at the White Nile State main hospitals. 3.2.2. To determine compliance of the environmental health services at White Nile State main Hospitals with international guidelines. 3.2.3. To assess knowledge, attitude and practice of nursing and sanitation staff regarding HCW management in the hospitals. 3.2.4. To construct and implement an educational program and assess its impact on knowledge, attitude and practice of the nurses and sanitation staff regarding HCW management. 3.2.5. To develop an integrated plan for HCW management at the hospitals.
