Environmental Translation in Catalan:

In recent years, it has become difficult to ignore the general, growing concern for ecology and the environment worldwide. [...] Despite the huge increase in translation studies over the last 30 or 40 years, however, there are still many areas left to examine and one of them is environmental translation. [...] The norms or standards influencing translation are an essential element in translation study and so this book is a reference point for translation studies because it is a milestone and a model for the study of environmental translation. Firstly, because when anyone interested in this aspect of translation studies attempts to find information in the available literature, he or she will soon discover that it is practically non-existent. Llum Bracho-Lapiedra, PhD in Translation and Communication from the Universitat Jaume I of Castelló de la Plana (València, Spain), was born in Tarragona (Spain) in 1972. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Applied Linguistics Department of the Universitat Politècnica de València where she teaches scientific and technical language.
