Environmentalism and New Directions in Sustainable Development

Renan Oliveira's work consistently articulates the areas of environmental sociology and social studies of science, providing a comprehensive view of central problems in the turbulent contemporary world. His fruitful reading of national and international authors enables the reader to situate the Brazilian and Latin American reality within the environmental risks of modern capitalism, a task that we perceive as essential today. Renan Dias Oliveira has a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCAR) and a degree in History from the University of Franca (UNIFRAN). He has a master's degree in Science and Technology Policy from the Geosciences Institute of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with a sandwich internship at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
