Essays in international refugee and IDP law

This book analyses legislation governing the plight of refugees at global, regional and national levels. It also reviews case studies from Haiti, Palestine, Kenya and other countries, as well as relevant laws. The book then makes policy recommendations for improving the conditions of refugees, after identifying successes in the implementation of relevant laws and pitfalls in relevant laws.

Dr Yvonne Nana Afua Idun is a senior lecturer in law and chairperson of Public Law at the Kenyatta University School of Law in Nairobi, Kenya. She has undertaken consultancy assignments with the UN Women in the Dominican Republic; the UNDP offices in USA, Benin, and Liberia; the UNIDO and IUCN offices in Ghana; as well as the UNECA in Ethiopia.
