Esthetic Dentistry

Beauty is that "which gives the highest degree of pleasure to the senses or to the mind and suggests that the object of delight approximates one's conception of an ideal." A smile is often a reflection of the person's mood and temperament and it is one of the most important facial expressions and is defined as the non-verbal parameter of communication in body language. Redesigning the appearance of teeth in the smile design process is a demanding task, as it changes the patient's smile characteristics and the esthetic wishes of the patient must be accommodated within the predetermined functional, structural and biological framework. In dentistry, Various designs, proportions and objective standards have been set in order to improve the smile. "A smile is a curve that sets everything straight." Knowledge does not spread by keeping a lantern on one's own head, but it is by spreading the knowledge of Esthetic Dentistry; its Science, Design, Treatment modalities and its applications in improving the patient's concerns related to dental esthetics through the words of this book.
