Ethics and Professional Deontology in Education

This study deals with the topic of "Ethics and Professional Deontology in Education", the general aim of which is to analyze Ethics and Professional Deontology in the area of Education and the creation of a specific code of ethics for the activity of the teacher, seeking to contribute to teaching ethics and deontology in today's society, discussing its relationship with professionalization and the construction of the teacher's identity. Ethics is understood here as a theme that permeates the teacher's entire professional life and, since education is one of the main forms of power one man has over another, the question of ethics in teaching becomes important, emphasizing the creation of a professional code of ethics.

Adérito Frederico, a native of Cado Delgado Province in Mozambique, has a PhD in Educational Innovation/Social Sciences from the Catholic University of Mozambique, Nampula City. He also has a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the same university.
