It is visible that the Ethiopian government,with the help of IDPs and all concerned bodies,is trying to promote the leather sector to be among the leading industries in the country.The book focuses on distinguishing export barriers faced by the Ethiopian leather sector in general and barriers that can be addressed by the international development partners (IDPs)services of export promotion in particular.The research was conducted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from October 2009 to March 2010. The Ethiopian leather industry association (ELIA),three IDPs selected based on their involvement with the sector,and firms which are regular exporters and members of ELIA took part in the study.The leather sector has the potential to become a major export income generator to the economy, to create job opportunities and to be one of the gateways to the country s industrialization.

Bamrot has received his MBA from university of Leipzig, 2010. Currently he is the vice director of Entrepreneurship Development Institute, school of business, Adama Science and Technology University in Ethiopia. He also holds an academic title of a Lecturer.
