Ethnicity and Gender in the Primary Education Textbooks

Since conception multiculturalism has been a controversial issue. Several scholars of education and politics are still in great dilemma on the basic concepts of multiculturalism. The launching of inclusive education and culture responsive pedagogy is one way of materializing multiculturalism. Focusing on the main categories of culture, namely ethnicity and gender, this book investigates the practicality of theoretical assumptions of multicultural education. The book is help full, particularly for educators, to be cognizant of realities in education and societal development.
