This book entitled "ETHNOBOTANICAL STUDIES OF WESTERN ODISHA" comprises of eight chapters. The Chapter-I deals with a brief introduction on Ethnobotany, the Scope of Ethnobotany, Ethnobotanical Works in the World, India, Odisha and Balangir district. Chapter-II deals with a detail review have been made on the topic "Ethnobotanical Studies of Balangir District (Odisha)". Chapter-III contains study site details including maps and methodological details adopted by the authors for survey. Chapter-IV contains details about 57 plant species used by the native of the study site, their family, parts used and mode of action. The result of various parameters has been tabulated Chapter-V contains discussion in details including relevant works done by various authors in different regions of Odisha. Chapter-VI contains details summary of the present work. Chapter-VII contains the relevant publications by the authors. Chapter-VIII contains the References including citation details throughout the book.

Dr. A. R. Sahu arbeitet als Assistenzprofessor für Botanik am Vikash Degree College, Odisha. Er erhielt alle seine akademischen Abschlüsse von der School of Life Sciences, S.U., Indien. Er hat verschiedene Artikel in nationalen/internationalen Zeitschriften und Büchern veröffentlicht und 4 Patente erhalten. Seine Forschungsgebiete sind Plant Mol. Biol. und die Erhaltung von Heilpflanzen.
