This book is a collection of data on how the EU is trying to increase organ donation and decrease organ shortage. This work is useful for those who need an overview of the policy at national as well as at EU level. It also goes into detail on the organisational success of the Spanish Model, proving that there are several regulations a country can introduce to improve organ donation rates. All the information gathered in this book will help many students researching this particular topic, and will provide all those who are interested a better understanding of the organisational system proposed in the Action Plan presented by the EU policy makers to increase organ donation rates. Graduated in B.European Studies(hons) in 2010, after which I finished my Post-Graduate diploma in Interpreting Studies in 2011. This work was presented for my first Degree and I chose this topic because I wanted to write about a subject related to medicine as seen from an EU policy perspective.
