European Higher Education Policy and the Social Dimension
Details
The Bologna Process has significantly shaped recent higher education policies across Europe but the impact of the social dimension has been neglected. This book provides an overview of the major Bologna reforms and through a cross-country comparative study discusses whether this social aspect can ever successfully be incorporated into policy.
This summary allows the reader to look at the access policies in higher education policy from a historical and broader socio-economic context to understand economic, political, social and individual drivers behind the expansion process. this book is highly recommended for higher education researchers and policy actors to figure out the roles of important actors and obstacles for social dimension to become a real action area for the Bologna process. (Mete Kurtolu, European Journal of Higher Education, April, 2016)
