The book comprises of research work which is action-oriented and is an intensive work based on primary data collection from the Kesla Block, Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh and Phulbani Kandhamal District of Orissa. The objective of this book is to study the role of teachers in interest generation amongst students and the performance of students in private and government schools. This book is a collection of two case studies viz. (i) Role of Teachers in Interest Generation And Prevention Of Drop-Outs In Schooling Of Rural Areas: A Study Of 2 Schools in Kesla Block, Hoshangabad District Madhya Pradesh (ii) Elementary Education and its Development in Phulbani Kandhamal District of Orissa which had been conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Government school and teachers role to generate interest amongst students in the area of the study.
