Evaluation of Anticonvulsant activity of Artocarpus heterophyllus

The epilepsy chronic disorders characterized by recurrent seizures. The age adjusted incidence of epilepsy is 44 per 100,000 person years. Each year, about 125,000, new epilepsy causes occurs; of these 30% are in people younger than age 18 yrs at the time of diagnosis. There is distribution in the first seizure; the high frequency of epilepsy in the elderly is now being recognized. At least 10% of patient is long-term care facilities are taking at least one antiepileptic drug.This book mainly focuses on,the inhibitory transmitter gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) is particularly important in this role, & drugs block GABA receptor to provoke seizure. The data should be especially useful to students, researchers working on convulsions & drug screening or anyone who may considering utilizing the methods drug development process and for marketing process.
