The study focused on assessment of employee voice on workers' performance in Tanzania Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA), in Zambia. The study sought to determine the extent to which union voice affect employee performance, ascertain the effect of employee voice on an employee performance, establish the nature of relationship between team work and productivity, ascertain the extent to which employee participation in decision making impacts on innovation/creativity in Tanzania Zambia Railway Authority(TAZARA), Zambia.. The study had a population size of 1500, out of which a sample size of 150 was drawn using random and purposive sampling techniques. Instrument used for data collection were primary,secondary and questionnaires. The findings indicated that union voice had a significant negative effect on employee performance in Tazara.The results also revealed that there was significant involvement of employee voice in decision-making at all levels in the organisation; Employee voice maintains a good working environment and atmosphere. Effective employee voice plays a vital role in business operations, increases efficiency and productivity and make employees more satisfied.

Chrispine Chola Mulenga estudió su licenciatura en Comercio en la Universidad de Mulungushi y un máster en Administración de Empresas en la Universidad de Información y Comunicaciones de Lusaka, Zambia. Se incorporó a Tazara en 1994 y trabajó en los departamentos de mecánica y comercio, y ascendió en el sindicato de trabajadores de Tazara hasta la Secretaría General.
