Evaluation of gamma radiation treatment to enhanceshelf life of dates

Date trees (Phoenix dactylifera L.) is one of the earliest cultivated crop in the world.Pakistan is the biggest exporter of dried dates all over the world This present study focused on the optimization of gamma radiation dose for dry dates tobial load. Analysis of dried dates was done to find out the moisture content, ash, fat, fiber, carbohydrates , protein contents after gamma radiation treatment.
