The liver being an important organ in the human body that protects from foreign chemicals, it also needs protection from harmful chemicals that effects its survival. The current habits and atmospheric pollutants have made the liver with sensitivity. Thus there is a necessity to identify a drug molecule that could protect the liver from being deteriorated as well as from deteriorated to healthy state.Thus the aim of the current study is to identify a natural product that could possibly possessing hepatoprotective action and evaluate its hepatoprotective pharmacological activity.The objectives of the study are as follows:- To identify a natural source with desired pharmacological activity by conducting a thorough literature review.- To plan a pharmacological method as per the literature available.- To identify and segregate the type of animals required for the planned hepatoprotective study.- To determine the various parameters related to liver functions.- To study the histopathology of liver during the pharmacological screening.- To correlate the study outcomes and conclude the study.
