Evaluation of Information Services

The effective performance of any educational institution lies on its well equipped library. In the present information age libraries are molded into information centers to meet the changing information demands of users. Library and Information Science education in general and LIS research in particular gained momentum with the great revolution of I.T. Especially in view of NAACC, which has recognized the importance of library and information services in higher education institutions very well and evaluate the quality of the learning resource center part of the assessment of the quality of higher education institutions in the country, this type of research is highly of useful.Due to limitations of time, money, and manpower. The present study is confined to only the university libraries in Tirupati.

Dr. N. Kalpalatha is working as the In-charge of the librarian of Sri Padmavathi Degree& P.G. College,Tirupati. She has obtained M.A., M.L.I.Sc.,Ph.D from S.V.University and she has PGDLAN in Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation Network from University of Hyderabad. She has rich professional experience of more than 15 years.
