Evaluation of learning and achievement of educational objectives

Evaluation has a special place in schools and universities. All school partners (decision-makers, planners, administrators, teachers, parents and students) see the need for evaluation in the educational cycles. It consists of collecting relevant and significant indicators that can be analyzed and interpreted to determine the extent to which learning has been mastered and objectives achieved.Evaluation plays a fundamental role in the teaching/learning process. On the one hand, it informs the teacher of the quality and effectiveness of his or her teaching; on the other hand, it provides the student with the opportunity to monitor his or her teaching performance and progress. In fact, for the student as well as for the teacher and parents, evaluation plays an essential role in measuring the progress made and identifying acquisitions, in accurately diagnosing the difficulties encountered and prescribing the means of resolving them and, finally, in certifying the quality of the learning achieved and the skills acquired.
