Evaluation of nutritional status of children under 5 years of age

The malnutrition is more frequent among the children under five years especially in Africa. In this study, we have evaluated the nutritional status of the children who were hospitalized for respiratory diseases. We found that 47,93% were unfed whereas 52,07% were well nourished. It shows that malnutrition is more high among children suffering from respiratory diseases and a public health problem. Everyone must contribute in order to change this bad situation so that we may save children' s live. We have formulated same recommendations to everyone especially government and parents to take their responsibilities.
