Many studies recognized the potential of wild edible plants as food provides nutritional and health benefits. Sudan's flora is rich in wild plants which have good nutritional values. Information regarding the nutritional content and beneficial effect of raw and processed wild edible plants from Sudan is meager. This study suggested that underutilized wild plants could have beneficial effect for food and/or nutraceuticals application in the promotion of health.
