Evaluation Study of Women Development Programme in Haryana

Women empowerment is a social process which neutralizes the oppression against the society and establishes the equity. The focus of the present study is to examine how Government of Haryana is empowering women through various schemes and programmes. Despite being a high performing economy in terms of high per capita Gross Domestic Product, Haryana has the lowest sex ratio in the country. Haryana has not been able to develop ethnically and socially when it comes to women's equality. This study has tried to examine the status of women in Haryana in comparison to other states and how much of allocated budget for women development is actually utilized.
