Evaluation & Implementation of Environmental Risk Assessment

Compression stations are the stations equipped with devices known as compressors which maintain the pressure of gas through pipelines against friction. Compression stations are installed at areas where pressure drops. Major function of compressor station is to clean gas coming from the suction header, compress gas with compressors running with turbines, cool gas and provide it again to transmission and distribution. The study involved detailed evaluation and implementation of environmental risk assessment of natural gas compression station. The site was evaluated for various health and environmental impacts, their causes, consequences and the ways and means to reduce or eventually eliminate the risk from the work-place.
