The project looks at the marginalisation of children in the provision of career guidance and services in schools in masvingo district of Zimbabwe. The researcher used a qualitative approach in carrying out the research. Semi structured interviews were used as research tools. The research established that exceptional children are marginalised in the provision of career guidance and counselling just like in all other areas. The basis of marginalisation was found to be low expectations held by the service providers.

Autorentext

The author holds an Msc degree in Educational psychology from the University of Zimbabwe. He has a passion in career guidance and counselling. Currently the author is a lecturer at Great Zimbabwe University, Department of Psychology.
